Response to Saucy Knitters

Hot Sauce
What kinds of sauces do you like? I will try almost anything once!
Do you like ‘em hot and spicy or more toward the sweet? I like the heat but not so much that there is no flavor.
Do you like four alarms going off at once, or a heat that builds? It's better if it builds!
Do you have any sauces that you do not like at all? Haven't found one yet! But not a big fan of smokey flavors
What do you like your hot sauce on? wings of course, eggs, potatoes, crab cakes or stuffed clams, french fries, pork, fish...
What kinds of recipes do you like to work your hot sauce magic with? I will put a dash in almost anything - soups, stoups, stews, pasta sauces, popcorn
Do you BBQ? Throw it in take-out? Put a dash into your eggs in the morning? Do you like to cook, or do you prefer to just dress up a good take-out dish? All of the above LOL!
Do you have any particular food allergies that should be avoided when picking out a hot sauce? No
Recipe you would like to share? I have one for a buffalo chicken dip - I'm sure it's been aound and I will post here over the weekend. I have a weightwatchers friendly version and a full fat version - yummo!

Yarn
Do you knit or crochet? both, right now I am a knitter
What are your favorite types of yarns to work with? I have graduated off the acrylics but still new enough to try anything
What do you have on the needles (or hook!) right now?
  1. Lion Brand Lover's Knot Afghan for a wedding shower gift in September
  2. French Market bag
  3. Monkey Sox
  4. Baby Surprise Jacket - going on tonight

What are your favorite colors to work with? Are there any colors you wouldn’t want caught dead in your stash? I really don't have a favorite, but am partial to pink

Any preference in your hooks/needles? Prefer bamboo over plastic or aluminum? You’re good with whatever you’ve got to work with? Let us know. Only use plastic for crochet hooks
Notions. C’mon, let us know – if you get one more measuring tape, will you run screaming from the room? Or are you the type that loses stitch markers constantly? What notions do you love and loathe? I am constantly buying mesuring tapes, between my husband and the cats, they disappear all the time (acutally there is probably a dozen under the sofa)
Any fiber allergies we should know about? none

Stuff
Are you a snacky type of person? Do you like candy? Chocolate? In between hot sauce applications, what would we find you snacking on? Oh, yeah, I'm a snacker - I would rather graze than eat a full meal. Candy - not really. Chocolate is a food group as far as I'm concerned. I would be snacking on pretzels and cheddar cheese.
Are you into recipe magazines? Knitting mags? What kinds of quick, stash-it-in-your-knitting-bag reading do you like to have on hand? I haven't subscribed to anything yet, there is so much reading to do on the internet. If I put anything in my bag to read it's a book and I just got "The Friday Night Knitting Club" back from my Mother.
What cheers you up? my husband, my knitting (such a de-stresser), my kitten Frank - in that order! After that, hanging out with my 16 year old daughter when the wind is going in the right diretion (LOL - I love her dearly!) Seriously, I am a home-body that commutes 1 1/2 -2 hours a day if not more that absolutely adores her family and wants nothing more than to be home for them. (Love you both E & A)
Do you collect anything other than yarn? For years I collected bears then narrowed it down to cats. All I collect now is firefighter stuff (husband is a Lt / Paramedic)
Do you have pets? yes, two Kits - Chloe is the queen(12) and Frankie is the beast (1 1/2)
Any other allergies? no
Are you a swap newbie, or have you done this before? Any good advice for newbies you’d like to share? I am a newbie to all of this and really looking forward to the whole experience.

day one...

Welcome to my first post....the world of KAE - that's me. Kelli Anne E. It's also my husband Eric and daughter Aimee, hence KAE. Not too creative.I am still new to the world of blogging and this will be probably pretty lame to start.I have discovered a passion for knitting and listening to many podcasts and viewing other knitter's blogs I decided to join the club. Hey Mom, maybe this is the book you always thought I could write!
